Install the Chrome Extension

The extension captures Facebook Marketplace listings and sends them to your dashboard.

Download the extension, unzip it, then load it into Chrome.

Installation Steps

  1. Download the zip file using the button above
  2. Unzip it to a permanent folder (e.g. Documents/fbp-extension). Don't delete this folder — Chrome needs it.
  3. Open chrome://extensions in your browser
  4. Enable Developer mode (toggle in the top-right corner)
  5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder
  6. The extension icon appears in your toolbar. Click it to open the popup.

First-Time Setup

After installing, configure the extension to connect to this server:

  1. Click the extension icon in the toolbar
  2. Set Server URL to this server's address (it should auto-detect)
  3. Enter your API Key (found in your account settings)
  4. Click Enable
  5. Browse to facebook.com/marketplace — ads will start capturing automatically
Chrome shows a "Disable developer mode extensions" popup on launch. This is normal for sideloaded extensions. Click the three dots and choose "Keep" to dismiss it.

Updating the Extension

When a new version is available:

  1. Download the new zip and unzip it to the same folder (overwrite)
  2. Go to chrome://extensions
  3. Click the refresh icon on the extension card
